Puntarenas, Costa Rica

Presidents' Day weekend means it was time to get out of town for the long weekend! This year, Jonathan, Jeanene and I flew out of a snowy Atlanta (hours delayed followed by hours in the de-icing line) to fly to Costa Rica. It was my first trip to Central America.

Luckily, our driver, Mr. Dimas, was waiting for us at the airport when we arrived in the middle of the night to drive us for the hour and fifteen minute trip from San Jose to Puntarenas.

Our all-inclusive resort was the Doubletree Punterenas. It was a great property on a black sand beach. The ocean water was warm, the pools were beautiful, and I thought the food was particularly good for an all-inclusive resort.
